Environmental Policy

As a specialist waste management and recycling company we are committed more than most to conducting our business in a manner that protects the quality of the environment, protects the health and safety of our employees and the public, and fully meets the needs of our customers. In order to achieve this, the Company supports a fully Integrated Management System, which is independently assessed by a third party.

We continually endeavour to improve our environmental performance and minimise our impact upon the environment.

We will accomplish this by:

• Complying with applicable statutory, and local environmental and health and safety at work laws and regulations;

• Using natural resources wisely coupled with monitoring of energy use to improve efficiency where possible

• Using and improving operations and technology to reduce waste and prevent pollution at all levels including nuisance noise and dust emissions. Currently we achieve a 65% recycling rate of the combined wood, concrete and metal tipped at our waste transfer station facility. This is a figure on which we strive to improve. In areas such as tyre recycling we are already near 100% in recycling of tipped waste.

• Continuously improving our environmental management system and performance in accordance with our ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems, ISO9001 Quality Systems Management, OHSAS18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems certifications.

• Fully communicating our environmental policy to our employees and any other interested parties;

• Providing full training, instruction and adequate supervision for all our staff.
