Recycling

Currently The McGrath Group recycles 750k tonnes per annum, our overall recycling rate* is 99.8% and we aim to deliver zero to landfill by Sep 2011.

Commercial waste is delivered to one of our two licensed Material Recycling Facilities (MRFs) in London (Hackney) and Essex (Barking) where it is first sorted into discrete material streams using state-of-the art mechanical and manual processes.

A 40-metre picking belt accommodates 30 operatives who separate-out different recycling streams which are collated and either re-processed on-site or baled and transported to our portfolio of specialist recycling suppliers.
